We are a growing Emergency Medicine private practice and looking for our next star vet to continue helping us save lives. Our goal in the near future is to expand into a 24-hour emergency facility. We are located on the beautiful coast of NC. We have been open for 2 years and continuing to grow exponentially. VECCS certification is also in motion as well.
We practice progressive, high quality medicine with owners dedicated to keeping up with advancing medicine. We have all the toys (high resolution DR rads, ultrasound, endoscope, Ligasure, full in house blood machines (including blood gas, blood typing, cortisol, bile acids, clotting times,) digital cytology, fecal/urine analyzers, oxygen kennels, extensive monitoring equipment, large surgery suite, central lines, full pharmacy-whatever you want to stock to practice at your best, we support!). We currently have 5 licensed technicians on staff who are vital to our daily operation, as well as numerous awesome assistants and receptionists. The dedicated staff work their butts off and truly care about saving pets. We do not pass up the opportunity to hire dedicated, skilled vet techs or assistants to continue our mission of saving lives.
Finally, the beach! There's so much to do here if you love the outdoors. Kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, hiking, trail walking, shark tooth searching, historical sites, and even more! Wilmington and Raleigh are a short dive if you crave more city life adventures.
- Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
- All experience levels encouraged to apply!
- Active veterinary state license
- Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
- Surgery skills are a plus, but if you need help, we can teach you! Or, if you would rather not do surgery, that is okay as well, we have a position for you either way!

Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
Active Veterinary State License
USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
+ Ability to sit or stand and work at a computer for long periods of time.
+ Ability to be confident around animals (i.e., dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc. Candidate to confirm species treated with practice leadership for additional clarity.)
+ Client needs and work volume may occasionally require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job. This position may require special working hours, including working weekends, evenings and/or holidays.
+ Must have mental capacity and processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
+ The noise level in the work environment is moderately high. Ear plugs will be available upon request.
+ Job requires sufficient ambulatory skills in order to perform required duties while working.
+ Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
+ Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate other equipment as required.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
+ Hospital teammates are routinely exposed to a variety of animals that may bite, kick or scratch, and on occasion, may be exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological or zoonotic hazards and/or medication/controlled substances.
