Job Description
The Controller is a strategic financial leader responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis for Allegis Global Solutions (“AGS”) and its affiliated entities. This role oversees the monthly close process, annual budget preparation, year-end audit coordination, and special projects, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
Working closely with the Director of Financial Reporting and other financial leaders, the Controller manages complex accounting operations and interprets financial performance to support strategic initiatives and enterprise-wide decision-making. This includes a deep understanding of the general ledger structure, the full accounting cycle, and associated processes.
The Controller leads a high-performing team, fostering both technical and professional development, and drives continuous improvement across financial systems and processes. This role requires strong financial governance, technical accounting expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver insights that enhance operational efficiency and shape financial strategy.
The Controller reports to the Director of Financial Reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across multiple entities.
- Provide strategic financial insights and executive-level reporting to support business planning and performance management.
- Oversee the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Drive the annual budgeting process, including scenario modeling, forecasting, and alignment with corporate objectives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on complex accounting issues including multi-currency transactions, intercompany eliminations, and variable workforce cost structures.
- Collaborate with senior leadership across Finance, Operations, and HR to support strategic initiatives and financial planning.
- Champion process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance scalability and efficiency of financial operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing financial reporting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools to support data integrity, reporting accuracy, and operational agility.
- Represent the Financial Reporting function in cross-functional projects and enterprise-wide initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent coursework)
- 7+ years of experience in general ledger, financial reporting, or related fields
- Prior supervisory experience required
- Preferred: Public accounting/audit experience
- Preferred: Experience with Oracle FCCS, EPBCS, HFM, Hyperion Planning, or similar EPM applications
- Preferred: Experience with Oracle Peoplesoft and/or Fusion and Smartview or similar ERP applications
- Advanced Excel skills
