Job Description

The Senior Corporate Analyst will focus on creating and analysing business and financial metrics to support transformational initiatives at AGS. This Analyst will leverage their business knowledge and expertise in interpreting financial and business data in data storytelling while transforming complex datasets into actionable insights for a diverse stakeholder group.


The role requires strong project management skills, and the ability to develop process models and technical specifications. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication abilities, commercial acumen, and a proactive approach to process improvement and automation, all while managing multiple projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis: Demonstrate a strong understanding of profit and loss statements, analyzing underlying business drivers to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Data Storytelling: Utilize excellent data storytelling abilities to consolidate large datasets into actionable insights, presenting findings clearly and compellingly.
  • Data Quality Management: Reconcile and manage data quality discrepancies, utilizing SQL queries to identify and resolve system issues effectively.
  • Collaboration with BI Developers: Partner with BI Developers to support quality assurance processes for BI solutions, ensuring accuracy and reliability in data reporting.
  • Consultation Services: Provide expert consultation to internal and external business users regarding new BI features and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Data Governance: Contribute to robust Data Governance practices, focusing on data quality, management, business processes, and security protocols.
  • Defect Monitoring: Monitor and triage Data Quality defects ensuring timely resolution and communication.
  • Troubleshooting and Validation: Troubleshoot integration and build failures, analyze client delivery gaps and write SQL queries to validate data in Azure and Snowflake environments, identifying root causes and proposing solutions.
  • Documentation Creation: Develop process models and technical specifications to guide developers and product teams in system enhancements.
  • Best Practices Development: Actively participate in identifying, documenting, and maintaining team best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit exceptional written, verbal, and data presentation skills to effectively convey analytical insights to diverse stakeholders.
  • Commercial Acumen: Leverage knowledge of recruitment, recruitment services, or outsourcing environments to provide commercial insights and recommendations.
  • Project Management: Engage in project management activities to oversee initiatives, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and simplify existing processes, identifying opportunities for automation; familiarity with automation tools is advantageous.
  • Organizational Skills: Maintain a high level of organization and prioritization, demonstrating proactivity in managing multiple tasks and projects.

Qualifications

Core Competencies, Skills, and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in an IT Business Analyst/Consulting, or related position
  • Demonstrated experience using SQL to query data
  • Demonstrated experience using PowerBI to visualize data
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Business, or related major or equivalent business experience
  • Problem analysis and solving skills – ability to identify root causes of problems and differentiate between perceived and actual problems.
  • Good understanding of cloud computing and reporting technologies
  • Knowledge of AGS business concepts and functions
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment (in-person and virtual) as well the ability to work independently
  • Strong technical, organizational, and communication (written and verbal) skills that enable the ability to take requirements from a business user and translate them
  • Must be flexible with an ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, or work items concurrently while meeting prioritized deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL Scripts (Ex: Select, Filter, and Join)
  • Must have an eye for data quality and experience enforcing data governance across a vast volume of data
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies and learning on the fly
  • Flexibility and adaptability outside the assigned core responsibilities
  • Staffing industry experience is a plus

Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Managed Services, RPO, Services Procurement, or recruitment knowledge/ experience
  • Must be able to support NA working hours, at least 50%
