Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to join the WA Calciner Alliance team, working across Alcoa’s three refineries; Pinjarra, Kwinana and Wagerup. There are 17 Calciners and 2 Liquor Burnings and associated equipment associated with refractory across Alcoa’s Western Australian operations.
The Reliability Engineer provides a leadership and supporting function within the WAO Calciner Alliance and will apply specific reliability engineering discipline knowledge, principles and skills to provide technical support which will contribute to the achievement of the WAO Calciner Alliance objectives.
The role is focussed on improving critical equipment reliability within the Calciner Alliance support services and is a key role in the planning and execution of Major Overhauls.

As the ideal applicant, you will obtain Tertiary qualifications ideally in materials, civil, mechanical or chemical engineering. In addition to qualifications experience in the operation or maintenance of fluid bed calciners, kilns, furnaces or similar high temperature equipment will be advantageous.
You will have good attention to detail, a demonstrated proactive approach to EHS and well-developed interpersonal & communication skills, which are essential to your success with the varied demands of this large and diverse workforce with significant internal and external stakeholder groups.
