Job Description
Alcoa's Warrick Operations is in search of Central Services Electrical Engineer to join their Central Services Team, as well as support the facilities Maintenance Team. Warrick operations is one of the largest aluminum fabricating facilities in the world. Alcoa's packiging division is located here, where aluminum sheet for beverage and food can ends and tabs are made along with other flat-rolled aluminum products, including metal used to make lithographic printing plates.
The Central Services Electrical Engineering positionfocusing on Plant wide Systems, reporting through the Central Services Engineering and Technical Organization.
Their responsibilities will include, but are not limites to:
- The oversight of computer and data collection
- PLC & Citect Programing
- Act as the PC coordinator to maintain computer systems, hardware, and software, AV & Camera Systems & Equipment
- Participate/lead capital projects
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited University OR an EET (Electrical Engineering Technology) or CIMT (Computer Integrated Manufacturing Technology) degree is required.
- Minimum of one year entry level experience in Electrical Engineering, including Project Management & oversight of small or larger scale projects
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience Electrical Engineering and Design
- 1-3 years with Project Management experience or engineering oversite of small and larger scale projects
- 1-3 years experience with Computer and communication network & camera monitoring systems
- 1-3 years experience with PLC, SAP, or Citect programing
- 1-3 years experience with card swipe and time clocking systems
- Experience using and/or implementing Lean tools such as Kaizen, 5S, and Problem solving
- Experience using SPC ,,Statistical Process Control" data
- Experience working in a Union environment
