What you'll be doing

  • Operate a wide range of manual and CNC machinery, including mills, lathes, vertical turning lathes, and 3-axis and 5-axis machining centres to deliver high precision components
  • Manufacture, modify, and repair aerospace components and tooling that support the safe operation of our aircraft
  • Design and program machining processes using SolidWorks and Mastercam for FANUC-controlled machinery
  • Deliver one-off toolmaking and aircraft repair solutions by applying innovative thinking to complex engineering challenges
  • Maintain exceptional standards of quality, precision, and safety across every stage of the machining process
  • Partner with engineers, technicians, and other specialists to deliver projects efficiently while meeting operational requirements.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience operating both manual and CNC machining equipment, including mills, lathes, vertical turning lathes, and 3-axis and 5-axis machining centres
  • Strong proficiency using SolidWorks and Mastercam to program FANUC-controlled machinery
  • Demonstrated experience in one-off toolmaking with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex engineering projects
  • Experience in aerospace or another high precision manufacturing environment is an advantage, but not essential
  • A strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
  • You must have the legal right to work in New Zealand at the time of application.
