We're inviting Expressions of Interest from customer-focused people who would like to be considered for upcoming Fixed Term, Part Time Customer Service Agent opportunities at Invercargill Airport.

About the role

As a Customer Service Agent, you'll create positive experiences for our customers while helping our operation run safely, efficiently and on time. You will:

  • Welcome customers with friendly, genuine service from check in through to boarding.
  • Support smooth departures by assisting with check in, boarding and arrivals
  • Provide care and assistance for customers requiring additional support, including wheelchair services and unaccompanied minors.
  • Respond confidently and professionally during flight disruptions, helping customers navigate changing travel plans.
  • Guide customers through technology and airport processes, making travel simple and stress free.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, security and operational excellence to support on time performance.

Shift Work Roster 

This part-time role sees you working between 36 and 72 hours a fortnight. You will be rostered on shifts which rotate and change, depending on the business needs and flight schedule. We operate every day between the hours of 0500 and 2100. This includes working weekends, nights and on public holidays. You will need to be flexible to work across these different shift days and times. 

What we're looking for

You'll enjoy working with people, communicate confidently, and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you'll also have:

  • The legal right to work permanently in New Zealand as a New Zealand Citizen, New Zealand Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen.
  • A New Zealand Restricted or Full Driver Licence and reliable transport
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence using computer systems and the ability to quickly learn new technology and processes.
  • A professional, friendly approach and the ability to meet Air New Zealand's Uniform Standards.
