Working within Tandem Travel, you will lead the strategic relationship with American Express Global Business Travel while partnering across Air New Zealand and key external stakeholders. About the role
- Lead the strategic partnership with American Express Global Business Travel, driving sustainable revenue growth and long-term commercial success
- Build and strengthen relationships with key Amex GBT stakeholders, enterprise clients, suppliers, and internal business units to maximise partnership opportunities
- Identify and deliver new commercial opportunities that expand the Amex GBT portfolio while enhancing customer satisfaction and profitability
- Monitor performance against agreed commercial targets, including customer satisfaction, service levels, and data quality, providing insights that support business decisions
- Coordinate governance across the Tandem and Amex GBT partnership, ensuring contractual obligations, compliance requirements, and strategic initiatives are successfully delivered
- Provide leadership and coaching support to the Amex GBT Account Managers and Account Support team, fostering a high-performance culture that delivers outstanding client outcomes.
What we’re looking for
- At least five years' experience in strategic account management, commercial partnerships, or business development within travel, aviation, corporate travel, or a related industry
- Demonstrated success managing complex commercial partnerships and enterprise customer portfolios with responsibility for revenue growth and customer retention
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop strategic account plans and identify new business opportunities
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple organisations without direct authority
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and networking skills
- Experience balancing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of governance, compliance, and customer experience
- A tertiary qualification in sales, marketing, commerce, or a related discipline is desirable.
