As we modernise the platforms, products and capabilities that power our business, we are hiring 2 x experienced Senior Business Analysts to help solve complex challenges, influence strategic decisions, and deliver meaningful outcomes for our customers and people.
Please note, both positions are 6-month contract roles.
We're currently hiring across two significant transformation initiatives:
Modernising Air New Zealand's retailing capabilities and customer commerce ecosystem
Transforming invoicing and financial servicing capabilities
These opportunities sit at the intersection of strategy, business change, technology and operations. You'll play a critical role in helping teams navigate complexity, unlock value, and shape the future capabilities that support a more connected, digital and customer-centric airline.

What you'll be doing
- Frame complex business challenges and identify opportunities to create customer and business value
- Lead discovery and structured analysis across customer, commercial, operational and technology domains
- Evaluate options, risks and trade-offs to support informed decision-making and investment choices
- Facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholder groups to accelerate progress and delivery outcomes
- Define future-state capabilities, processes and ways of working that enable long-term success
- Drive value-led delivery through effective prioritisation, outcome definition and value slicing
- Build clear traceability between strategic objectives, measurable outcomes and delivery decisions
Success in this role will include helping teams make better decisions, improving delivery outcomes, and enabling transformation initiatives that create lasting value for customers and the business.
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience as a Business Analyst within complex transformation or change environments
- Strong structured problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
- Experience analysing complex business, customer, operational or technology challenges
- Proven ability to evaluate options and provide evidence-based recommendations
- Confidence facilitating workshops and influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working across both business and technology teams
- A value-led mindset focused on outcomes, benefits and measurable impact
- The ability to connect strategic intent with practical delivery decisions
Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
- Digital transformation programmes
- Retailing, eCommerce or customer commerce platforms
- Finance, invoicing, accounting or servicing capabilities
- API, integration or platform modernisation initiatives
- Airline, travel or transport industries
