Job Description

The finance back office is being rebuilt around AI. Reconciliations, accruals, collections, variance explanations, and the month-end scramble are moving from people to intelligent agents that work alongside them. The question is who delivers this for growing businesses first, with the trust, control, and auditability finance teams require.

Acumatica is looking for a Director of Product Management to lead this innovation for our General Business Editions, the cloud ERP foundation that unites core financials, CRM, and reporting for growing SMB organizations, and one of our most significant growth opportunities. You will own the capabilities every Acumatica customer depends on and reimagine them for an AI-first world, moving from systems that record what happened to systems that act, anticipate, and advise.

  • Core Financials: General ledger, AP/AR, cash management, multi-entity and multi-currency accounting, fixed assets, revenue recognition, financial close, and financial reporting.

  • Customer Management (CRM): Leads, contacts, opportunities, accounts, quote-to-cash, customer portals, and the connection between front-office and back-office.

What You'll Do

Own the AI Strategy for Finance and Customer Management

  • Define a multi-year vision that evolves General Business from system of record to system of action, with AI agents across close, reconciliation, AP, collections, cash forecasting, pipeline, and customer engagement

  • Decide where AI should automate, assist, or keep humans in the loop, designing for the transparency, controls, and audit trail finance teams demand

  • Weave AI into the core experience, not as a bolt-on, and make deliberate build, buy, and partner choices across models, agents, and our ecosystem

  • Hold the roadmap accountable to measurable AI value: time saved, faster close, reduced DSO, accuracy, and adoption

Shape the Product Vision & Strategy

  • Own the General Business strategy, connected to corporate strategy and to our industry edition roadmaps

  • Differentiate against accounting-centric, horizontal, and AI-native ERP competitors

  • Design a seamless growth path from General Business into our Manufacturing, Construction, and Distribution editions

  • Engage directly with CFOs, controllers, and sales leaders, and represent Acumatica as a thought leader on AI in finance

Build and Lead an AI-First Product Team

  • Lead and grow a team of Product Managers across Core Financials and CRM, aligned to customer value streams

  • Make AI how the team works, not just what it builds: discovery, research synthesis, requirements, prototyping, and competitive analysis

  • Raise the team's AI product craft, including agent design, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and learning from usage data

  • Shorten the path from idea to customer value through AI-assisted agile practices and more continuous delivery of AI capabilities

  • Partner with engineering, UX, go-to-market, and vertical edition leaders as one team

Drive Growth

  • Accelerate new logos, expansion, and retention in General Business

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and our partner channel to turn AI into clear differentiation and competitive wins

  • Shape build vs. buy vs. partner strategy, including our marketplace of integrated solutions

What Success Looks Like

  • A compelling AI-first vision for General Business that the organization and our partners rally behind

  • AI capabilities in market that customers adopt, trust, and can measure

  • A product team that works AI-first every day and ships measurably faster

  • Accelerated ARR growth and improved win rates, including against AI-native challengers

  • A well-used growth path from General Business into our industry editions

Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years in Product Management, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Experience in ERP, financial management, accounting, or CRM platforms for SMB businesses.
  • Track record of shipping AI or ML capabilities to production in SaaS, with measurable adoption.
  • Experience growing a horizontal product that supports vertical or industry-specific extensions.

AI Acumen

  • Hands-on fluency with LLMs, agentic workflows, retrieval, and tool use, and a practical grasp of what they can do reliably.
  • Experience defining evaluation and quality approaches for AI in high-trust domains, with accuracy, explainability, and human oversight.
  • A daily personal practice of using AI for product work, and the ability to model and teach it.
  • A clear point of view on how AI will change finance and customer management, and the judgment to separate value from hype.

Product, Business & Leadership

  • Strong product strategy and roadmap leadership, connecting decisions to customer value and business outcomes.
  • Solid grounding in accounting and financial operations (multi-entity, revenue recognition, close, compliance) and front-office workflows (sales, quote-to-cash, service).
  • Experience with platform-based products and ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale teams through change, and to align executives and cross-functional partners.

Nice to Have

  • CPA, finance, or accounting operations background; channel or partner-led GTM experience; private equity-backed or high-growth environments; exposure to M&A or product integrations
