Job Description

 

  • Ensure safe daily operations within the swimming pool areas by ensuring compliance of all     health, safety and fire prevention policies and procedures. 

  • To undertake training of all time – lifesaving techniques /procedures with special attention in the development of staff, swimming abilities, stamina, strokes, and water awareness.  

  • Must attend to the need of the guests immediately, serious problems / situations must be reported to direct Lifeguard team leader / Lifeguard Supervisor or to Security Supervisor immediately. 

  • Strictly follow Lost and found procedure. 

  • Proper grooming at all times. 

  • Attend training classes as per schedule. 

  • Show fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments. 

  •  Should be aware of the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotel facilities 

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure effective customer orientated operations. 

  • Implement duties in line with the Quality standards, Security and Health & Safety requirements and applicable legislations 

  • Ensure any noticeable variation with regards to the chemical control or clarity of the pool water is reported immediately to the Recreation Supervisor/ Manager and the Engineering Department. 

  • Ensure the temperature of swimming pool remains consistent and set at the correct temperatures. 

  • Inform the Lifeguard Supervisor and/or Security Supervisor if valuables are left in the open. Follows standard procedures in handling these similar situations. 

  • Adhere to the provisions outlined in the Employee Handbook, Disciplinary Code and Rules and Regulations. 

  • Implement any other duties as assigned by the Security Manager 

Qualifications

  • Valid and approved Lifeguard Certification
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications
  • Strong swimming ability with excellent endurance and speed
  • Previous lifeguard experience preferred, ideally within a hotel, beach, swimming pool, or waterpark environment
  • High level of alertness, vigilance, and responsibility
  • Strong observation and emergency response skills
