Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Store & Receiving Associate to join our team in Visakhapatnam, India. In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming inventory, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring our warehouse operates efficiently. You will play a critical part in our supply chain operations by verifying product quality, organizing storage areas, and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and documentation
- Accurately record inventory data into warehouse management systems and maintain detailed receiving logs
- Organize and store products in designated locations following established protocols and safety guidelines
- Conduct quality control checks to identify damaged, defective, or incorrect items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, aisles, and receiving zones
- Prepare and process shipping documentation and inventory reports
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams regarding delivery schedules and inventory discrepancies
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconciliation to ensure accuracy
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks (where applicable)
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure work environment
- Assist with cycle counts and periodic inventory audits
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, receiving, or inventory management
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and warehouse management software
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Familiarity with inventory control procedures and best practices
- Preferred: Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Preferred: Forklift operation certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Preferred: Prior experience with inventory audits and cycle counts
