Job Description
- Supervise and ensure efficient daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms and public areas.
- Monitor cleaning standards, grooming and overall cleanliness to ensure compliance with hotel standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and follow up on maintenance issues, room status and defects.
- Assign daily duties and effectively coordinate the housekeeping team to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct daily briefings, provide guidance and communicate work instructions clearly to team members.
- Train, coach and motivate staff to maintain high service standards and improve performance.
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, guest amenities, chemicals and storeroom stock to ensure proper inventory control.
- Ensure proper handling of Lost and Found items and maintain accurate departmental records and reports.
- Enforce safe working practices and ensure all team members comply with hotel policies and procedures.
- To perform any other duties as directed by Executive Housekeeper or his/her designate.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in housekeeping, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- At least 1–2 years of supervisory experience in a housekeeping role.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, and hygiene standards.
- Proven ability to lead, supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping team members.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of hotel standards, guest service, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to manage room inspections, assignments, supplies, and daily housekeeping schedules.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle guest requests and resolve complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Knowledge of health, safety, hygiene, and chemical handling procedures.
