Job Description

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Catering & Conference Services, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Coordinate and manage daily catering orders, functions, and events.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their catering requirements and preferences.
  • Prepare quotations, menus, proposals, and event-related documents.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen, service team, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure food preparation, presentation, delivery, and service meet company standards.
  • Coordinate event setup, service arrangements, and breakdown.
  • Monitor catering schedules and ensure timely execution of all orders and events.
  • Maintain accurate records of catering bookings, client details, orders, and invoices.
  • Follow up with clients regarding confirmations, changes, and special requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors when required to ensure timely availability of products and services.
  • Assist in monitoring catering costs, inventory, equipment, and supplies.
  • Handle client feedback, requests, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Support the Catering Manager in planning and executing large-scale events.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company policies.
  • Assist in promoting catering services and developing strong client relationships.
  • Conduct post-event follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Hospitality, Catering, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of catering or hospitality experience.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
