Job Description
The Mason is responsible for performing specialized maintenance, repair, and installation tasks related to masonry structures and plumbing systems within the Hotel
- Constructing, repairing, and maintaining walls, floors, and structural elements; stone cladding; concrete finishing; and site restoration.
- Operate all types of necessary masonry equipment to include: concrete mixers tile cutters ,demolition hammers, diamond cutters, etc
- Maintain and repair general plumbing components including toilets and other plumbing related tasks
- Respond in a timely manner to all work requests regarding masonry and plumbing
- Daily checking for all the public toilets, fountains, staff lockers and kitchen tiles and repairs any damaged tiles.
- Guest rooms repair orders is top urgent and should be executed immediately.
- Inspect masonry structures regularly to identify cracks, damage, or wear.
- Repair and restore damaged or deteriorating masonry work, including re-pointing mortar joints, replacing bricks or stones, and patching concrete.
- Apply sealants or waterproofing solutions to protect masonry surfaces.
- All repair orders to be executed the same day.
- Any urgent materials to be ordered and followed up by you.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years' experience in Hotel, commercial or residential mason;
- Know to how to operate all types of necessary masonry equipment to include: concrete mixers tie cutlers, demolition hammers, diamond cutters, etc.
- Good knowledge of construction materials, methods, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and follow basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
