As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the proactive development of MICE, corporate and leisure business opportunities. Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Assistant Director of Sales, you will build strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities across domestic and international markets, and position Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach as the preferred luxury destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and events. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with MICE clients, PCOs, event planners, corporate clients and travel trade partners. 
  • Proactively source new business opportunities across meetings, incentives, conferences, events and corporate market segments. 
  • Conduct sales calls, client meetings, site inspections, sales trips and represent the hotel at industry events and trade shows. 
  • Work collaboratively with the Accor National Sales team to maximise business opportunities and enhance market presence. 
  • Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue and occupancy targets. 
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activity and emerging business opportunities. 
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews and create account development plans for key clients. 
  • Manage corporate RFP submissions and ensure alignment with hotel revenue strategies. 
  • Maintain accurate sales records, reports and forecasts using hotel sales systems and CRM platforms
  • Support a seamless handover of confirmed business to the conference & events team to ensure exceptional client experiences

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Sales Manager or similar role within the hospitality industry. 
  • Demonstrated success in MICE, conference, corporate or group sales.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships across corporate, PCO and event planner segments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills. 
  • Solid understanding of hotel sales processes, revenue principles and market dynamics. 
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. 
  • Proactive, results-driven approach with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets. 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM or hotel sales management systems. 
  • A passion for luxury hospitality and delivering exceptional client experiences.
