Job Description

As Assistant Manager, you will be a key operational leader within Hotel Chadstone, primarily supporting the Front Office team while acting as the Duty Manager for the entire hotel. You will provide visible leadership across all operational departments, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless luxury experience from arrival through to departure.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role where no two shifts are the same. From welcoming VIP guests and leading service recovery to supporting Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and Engineering, you will be empowered to make decisions that create memorable moments and deliver operational excellence.

Perfect for an emerging hospitality leader, this role provides an outstanding pathway to Front Office Manager, Rooms Division Manager and broader leadership opportunities within Accor.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the hotel as the Duty Manager, ensuring seamless coordination across all operational departments.
  • Primarily support and lead the Front Office team while working collaboratively with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen and Engineering.
  • Create memorable luxury experiences through personalised service, genuine guest connections and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Welcome and engage with guests throughout the hotel, anticipating needs and resolving issues before they become problems.
  • Lead service recovery with confidence, transforming challenges into positive guest experiences.
  • Provide coaching, guidance and on-shift development to Front Office team members and emerging leaders.
  • Foster an engaged, high-performing team culture built on collaboration, accountability and excellence.
  • Support training, quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives across the hotel.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence during peak operational periods, ensuring service standards consistently exceed guest expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety requirements, and brand standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous Front Office leadership experience within a premium or luxury hotel environment.
  • A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • A calm and confident leadership style with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage guests and colleagues at every level.
  • Proven ability to coach, develop and inspire teams through hands-on leadership.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to take ownership and make decisions.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, in line with business demands.
  • A desire to build a long-term career with Accor and progress into senior Front Office or Rooms Division leadership roles.
