Job Description
Summary of Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:
Report for duty as scheduled and attend pre- and post-shift briefings.
Wear and operate essential company-issued equipment during duty.
Oversee daily operations of the Hotel Security Control Room.
Monitor CCTV and security systems; promptly report irregularities.
Manage access points and ensure only authorized entries.
Conduct regular patrols of guest floors, public areas, and back-of-house.
Respond promptly to all security, safety, and medical emergencies.
Participate in the Hotel Emergency Action Team (HEAT) / Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Handle incident reporting, preliminary investigations, and documentation in line with SOPs.
Manage lost & found items, key control, and visitor/contractor passes.
Provide crowd control, lift management, and VIP escort duties as required.
Assist in training and guiding security officers on SOPs and hotel policies.
Ensure all security systems and equipment are operational; report faults promptly.
Liaise with management, vendors, and local authorities on security issues.
Perform other duties assigned by the Security Manager or Director of Security.
Qualifications
- Minimum GCE ‘O’ level
At least 4 years hotel’s security experience in a 4/5 star hotel
Former Law Enforcement Officer at Supervisory level is preferred
Previous administration of persons in lifesaving or property protection situations
Experienced in CPR, First aid, firefighting and crowd control
Minimum Chief Security Officer Certification required by local authorities
Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) Certificate
Conversant with the various systems in Hotel Security Room
Computer, Report writing, communication skills, investigation and questioning aptitude
