Job Description

The Associate Director of Catering Sales is responsible for leading catering sales initiatives, maximizing banquet and event revenue, and developing strong client relationships to achieve the hotel’s business objectives. The role focuses on generating new business, managing key accounts, converting event opportunities, and coordinating with operational teams to deliver exceptional catering experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Catering Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute catering sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Drive business from weddings, social events, corporate meetings, conferences, conventions, and special occasions.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, market visits, referrals, and industry relationships.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including lead generation, client meetings, proposals, negotiations, contracting, and event confirmation.
  • Maximize banquet, catering, food & beverage, and event-related revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain strong awareness of market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in hotel catering sales, banquet sales, or event sales.
  • Strong experience handling weddings, MICE, corporate events, and social functions.
  • Proven ability to achieve catering revenue targets and manage high-value accounts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and leadership skills.
