Job Description
This is a hands-on supervisory role where you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the maintenance team while helping maintain one of Sydney's most recognised luxury hotels.
You'll be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance, supporting compliance and safety requirements, coordinating contractors, and working closely with operational departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting the maintenance team in daily operations.
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across the hotel.
- Responding to maintenance requests efficiently to minimise guest disruption.
- Coordinating contractors and ensuring work is completed safely and to brand standards.
- Assisting with compliance, plant inspections and safety checks.
- Supporting sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Working collaboratively across departments to keep hotel operations running smoothly.
Qualifications
You'll be a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, leading by example and taking pride in delivering high standards.
You'll also bring:
- Experience in a maintenance supervisory role, ideally within hotels, hospitality or commercial properties.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building maintenance.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative leadership style and strong communication skills.
- A sound understanding of workplace health and safety.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
