Job Description
Receiving & Cost Control Operations
- Organize and monitor all activities related to goods receiving.
- Receive and inspect all goods delivered to the hotel, ensuring compliance with:
- Approved Purchase Orders
- Contracts and agreed pricing
- Quality, quantity, and brand specifications
- Reject or return goods that do not meet Rixos standards and approved specifications.
- Immediately report discrepancies, damages, or non-conformities to the Storekeeper and Cost Controller.
- Coordinate goods receiving schedules (date and time) with Storekeeper and relevant departments.
- Ensure all goods are collected and acknowledged by authorized departmental representatives.
- Verify supplier invoices against Purchase Orders and Delivery Notes prior to processing.
- Attach all required documentation and process records in accordance with receiving procedures.
- Assist Purchasing with market surveys, price comparisons, and supplier communications when required.
- Participate in supplier site visits together with Purchasing when assigned.
- Assist the Cost Controller in monthly or bi-weekly stock counts and prepare relevant reports.
- Support urgent or small-quantity purchases when required.
- Protect the hotel’s interests by ensuring best quality and value for money at all times.
- Maintain effective, professional, and cooperative working relationships with all departments.
GENERAL & ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
- Be fully familiar with and comply with hotel emergency, safety, and security procedures.
- Understand and comply with all company documentation, policies, and quality standards relevant to the role.
- Participate in on-the-job training and continuous development activities.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by Management.
- Strictly adhere to Rixos Code of Conduct.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role within a 4–5 star hotel
- Knowledge of receiving, purchasing, and inventory control procedures
