Job Description
We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Demi Chef to join our culinary team at Peppers Marysville. This hands-on role is ideal for a developing chef who is passionate about quality, eager to learn, and thrives in a supportive, team-focused kitchen environment.
You will assist in the preparation and delivery of dishes across à la carte service, events, and conference dining, while building your skills under the guidance of experienced senior chefs. You’ll also contribute to maintaining smooth service flow, kitchen organisation, and consistent presentation standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with preparation and cooking across à la carte, events, and conferences
- Supporting food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service delivery
- Learning and applying culinary techniques and menu standards
- Supporting efficient communication and teamwork during service

Qualifications
- Trade qualified or currently progressing through Commercial Cookery qualifications
- Experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen environment (preferred)
- Passionate about food quality, presentation, and learning
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, organised, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and develop under senior chefs
- Available to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays
