Job Description
We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Barista to join our dynamic team in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you'll be the heart of our café operation, delivering exceptional customer service while crafting high-quality specialty beverages. You'll work in a collaborative environment where your passion for coffee excellence and genuine care for our guests directly contribute to creating memorable experiences. Reporting to the Outlet Supervisor / Outlet Manager, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks and beverages with precision and consistency, demonstrating mastery of espresso machines and brewing techniques
- Deliver warm, engaging, and professional service to all guests, ensuring their needs are anticipated and exceeded
- Assist guests with informed recommendations regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods in a helpful and approachable manner
- Manage all cash transactions, process payments through point-of-sale systems, and maintain accurate financial records
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work station and café environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Perform opening and closing duties, including equipment setup, inventory checks, and facility preparation
- Collaborate with team members to support smooth operations during peak and off-peak hours
- Attract and engage customers through attractive product displays and knowledgeable recommendations
- Adapt flexibly to changing priorities and support additional duties as assigned to meet operational needs

Qualifications
**Required Qualifications:**
- Minimum 2 years of Food & Beverage and/or retail experience within the last 2 years
- Proven barista experience with demonstrated expertise in specialty coffee preparation
- Proficiency with espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment
- Strong cash handling skills and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Beverage service certification (Pro Serve or equivalent)
- Specialty coffee certification or formal barista training
- Experience in a luxury hospitality or upscale café environment
- Multilingual abilities, particularly Arabic language skills
- Experience with inventory management and stock rotation
- Knowledge of latte art and advanced coffee presentation techniques
- Previous experience working in diverse, multicultural team environments
