Job Description

We are seeking a professional and organized Gym Supervisor to join our fitness team in Novotel Dubai Al Barsha United Arab Emirates. In this supervisory role, you will oversee daily gym operations, manage staff performance, and ensure an exceptional member experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, operational efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety within our facility.

  • Supervise and manage gym staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal team productivity
  • Monitor facility operations and ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations specific to UAE standards
  • Maintain and oversee gym equipment maintenance schedules, coordinating repairs and replacements as needed
  • Develop and implement member engagement strategies to enhance satisfaction and retention
  • Handle member inquiries, complaints, and concerns with professionalism and empathy, resolving issues promptly
  • Manage facility inventory, including equipment, supplies, and cleaning materials
  • Create and maintain organized records related to member accounts, staff performance, and facility maintenance
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper equipment functionality
  • Assist with budget management and cost control initiatives for the gym operations
  • Communicate effectively with upper management regarding operational metrics, member feedback, and facility improvements
  • Ensure all staff members adhere to company policies and professional conduct standards

Qualifications

  • Proven supervisory or management experience in a gym, fitness facility, or related wellness environment
  • Strong knowledge of gym operations, equipment maintenance, and member services
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding member experiences
  • Proficiency in facility management software and basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in fitness facilities
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling difficult situations or member conflicts
  • First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
  • Fitness industry knowledge or certification (preferred)
  • Experience with budget management and performance metrics analysis (preferred)
