Job Description
Job Summary
Support the Chief Engineer in maintaining hotel facilities by performing preventive and corrective maintenance, managing equipment and safety compliance, and ensuring operational efficiency and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Assist the Chief Engineer and Assistant Chief Engineer in daily department operations to ensure smooth maintenance workflow
Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on hotel equipment, including plumbing, electrical appliances, locks, heating, air conditioning, and bathroom fixtures, to maintain optimal functionality
Conduct routine inspections and log data on all facilities, promptly follow up on faults and repair works to minimize downtime
Source and obtain quotations for spare parts and repair services to support maintenance activities
Maintain tidiness and organize the store, workshop, and Engineering office while managing tool inventory for operational readiness
Maintain firefighting facilities and equipment in compliance with Fire Safety regulations to ensure guest and staff safety
Schedule and document all preventive and corrective maintenance activities to track efficiency and control maintenance processes
Execute small renovation tasks such as painting, carpeting, and furnishing to uphold hotel standards
Keep daily logs documenting all maintenance work performed to ensure accurate records and accountability
Update and manage safety-related administrative documents to comply with regulatory requirements
Ensure life and property safety by following safety protocols during maintenance interventions and coordinating with external service providers
Provide maintenance support and assistance to colleagues as needed to foster teamwork and operational effectiveness
Actively implement the Accor Vision and demonstrate the Accor Values in daily work and interactions
Qualifications
ITE/Nitec Certificate in Building Facilities Maintenance, Electrical/Electronics, or Air Conditioning servicing
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in hotel, facilities, or construction maintenance
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Positive and helpful attitude towards work and colleagues
Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and mechanics
Ability to work effectively with mechanics and external service providers
