Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented **People and Culture Manager** to join our dynamic team in Kuta, Indonesia. This pivotal generalist role is essential in managing our HR operations and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, people-focused, and passionate about creating an exceptional employee experience while supporting our organization's strategic goals.
- Serve as a proactive People and Culture leader, providing strategic HR support to senior managers and teams across our operations while ensuring full compliance with local employment legislation and organizational policies
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, coaching, communication, and negotiation skills to engage effectively with employees at all levels, displaying genuine empathy while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Support managers through the complete end-to-end People and Culture cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and learning and development initiatives
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and mentoring to enable effective people management and foster professional growth across the organization
- Manage workplace health and safety (WHS) initiatives, compliance programs, and rehabilitation efforts to maintain a safe and supportive work environment
- Administer payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement employee engagement and retention strategies that promote organizational culture and inclusivity
- Manage multiple HR projects and initiatives simultaneously, prioritizing workload effectively while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented attitude
- Analyze HR metrics and data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous organizational improvement
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that foster a welcoming and supportive workplace for all employees
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field (highly advantageous)
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a People and Culture or HR leadership capacity
- Demonstrated experience managing HR operations in a multi-site or complex organizational environment (preferred)
- Previous experience within the hospitality industry or similar customer-focused environment (highly advantageous)
- Comprehensive hands-on experience across the full HR cycle, including recruitment, performance management, learning and development, and employee relations
- Strong understanding of Indonesian employment legislation and local labor regulations
- Proven analytical and commercial awareness with the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives
- Excellent project management skills, particularly for coordinating initiatives across multiple locations or departments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with HR information systems (HRIS) or digital HR platforms
- Strong organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated conflict resolution and mediation abilities
- Experience developing and implementing employee engagement and retention programs
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance and best practices
- Proven ability to manage change initiatives and support organizational transformation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
