Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and confident Night Porter to join our team at ibis Styles Crewe. This is an important role within the hotel, ensuring that our guests feel welcome, supported and safe throughout the night. If you enjoy working independently, take pride in delivering great service and like a role with plenty of variety, this could be a great fit for you. This is a full-time position with an annual salary of £26,517 (£12.70 per hour).
What the Role Involves
You’ll be the main point of contact for our late‑arriving guests and early departures, providing a friendly welcome, assisting with check‑ins and check‑outs and handling any queries that come your way. Overnight, your focus will be on maintaining a comfortable and secure environment for all guests and keeping Front Office operations running smoothly.
Your duties will include:
- Supporting guests with arrivals, departures and general enquiries
- Managing reservations and completing end‑of‑day reports
- Carrying out regular security and safety checks around the hotel
- Setting up breakfast and preparing public areas for the day ahead
- Assisting at the bar, handling payments and ensuring accurate cash control
- Preparing meeting rooms and liaising with housekeeping and maintenance teams
It’s a varied role with plenty to keep you busy, and no two nights are quite the same.
What We’re Looking For
You should be someone who communicates well, stays calm under pressure and enjoys providing helpful, professional service. Experience in hotels or customer‑facing roles is an advantage but not essential. What matters most is that you are dependable, confident working on your own or with a small team and willing to learn.
What We Offer
Alongside a competitive salary and free onsite parking, you’ll have access to a range of team benefits including:
- A day off on your birthday
- Workplace pension
- Sick pay
- Cycle‑to‑work scheme
- Employee discounts across the group
- Other wellbeing and recognition perks
