Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Beverage Manager to join our team in Movenpick Resort & Spa Bintan Lagoon. As a key member of our food and beverage department reporting to the F&B Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our beverage operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and driving profitability.

  • Manage and optimize beverage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storage
  • Develop and implement innovative beverage menus that align with current trends and guest preferences
  • Train and supervise bar staff to maintain high standards of service and product knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Monitor and control beverage costs to maximize profitability
  • Collaborate with the food and beverage team to create cohesive dining experiences
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any beverage-related issues promptly and professionally
  • Analyze sales data and prepare regular reports on beverage performance
  • Stay updated on industry trends and introduce new beverage concepts to keep offerings fresh and exciting
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting for the beverage department
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
  • Proven track record in beverage management and cost control
  • Excellent knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences
  • Proficiency in inventory management and beverage ordering software
  • Experience with POS systems and their application in beverage operations
  • Solid understanding of food and beverage pairing principles
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and mixology techniques
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety practices
  • Ability to analyze sales data and generate actionable insights
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Vietnamese or other languages is a plus
