We’re looking for a Duty Technician to join our Maintenance team in a part‑time or casual capacity. This role is ideal for someone seeking 15 hours per week across three days (e.g. Monday, Tuesday, Friday). It would suit a semi‑retiree, a hands‑on all‑rounder, or someone looking for a balanced, steady role in a friendly, design‑led hotel environment.

About the Role

As our Duty Technician, you’ll help keep our beautiful heritage building running smoothly. You’ll work closely with our hotel teams to ensure guest rooms and public spaces are safe, functional, and looking their best.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities include:

• Carrying out preventative maintenance across guest rooms and public areas

• Using and maintaining general tools and equipment confidently and safely

• Completing basic plumbing tasks (e.g. unblocking drains, minor leaks)

• Performing basic painting, patching, and repair work

• Supporting reactive maintenance requests as they arise

• Assisting with contractor coordination and site access (nice to have, not essential)

• Ensuring all work is completed to brand standards and logged accurately

• White Card certified prepared

This is a hands‑on role where pride in workmanship, reliability, and a calm, guest‑focused approach go a long way.
