Novotel Queenstown Lakeside is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. We are seeking a candidate who can commit long-term to the role and holds a long-term visa to work in New Zealand. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our hotel’s public spaces are clean, welcoming, and maintained to the highest standards for our guests. As a Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all public and back-of-house areas of the hotel in line with Novotel brand standards, health and safety requirements, and company procedures. Shifts are from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, five days a week rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

• Clean and maintain all public and back-of-house areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, spa, gym, restaurants, bars, conference rooms, laundry, and staff areas.

• Perform routine, deep, and special cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and chemicals safely.

• Replenish consumables and handle guest laundry according to hotel procedures.

• Dispose of rubbish safely, report maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or hazards promptly.

• Follow procedures for lost property, key security, and guest safety.

• Comply with all health, safety, hygiene, and security standards.

• Assist with additional duties as required by Housekeeping department.

• Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning will be advantageous (hotel experience preferred but not essential)

• High attention to detail and a strong work ethic

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work

• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented

• Strong understanding of health and safety practices

• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
