Job Description
The Housekeeping Shift Leader plays a pivotal role in ensuring the pristine presentation and comfort of guest rooms and public areas in line with the resorts elevated standards of luxury.
This position leads by example, inspiring the team to deliver refined service and immaculate surroundings. Through the effective use of systems, training, and communication, the Shift Leader supports the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Executive Housekeeper in maintaining operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and team engagement.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation across guest floors and public areas in line with brand standards
Use HubOS to manage daily tasks, track productivity, and coordinate maintenance and service requests
Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality, consistency, and attention to detail
Supervise daily housekeeping operations and ensure timely completion of tasks
Oversee deep cleaning schedules and ensure proper documentation
Train and develop team members to uphold service and brand standards
Assist with rostering, scheduling, and staff deployment for operational efficiency
Manage ordering, inventory, and stock control to maintain supply levels
Respond promptly to guest requests and feedback to deliver personalised service
Collaborate with other departments to support smooth daily operations
Lead daily briefings to align team priorities and service goals
Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental standards
Be flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within a luxury or five-star hotel environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Proficiency in HubOS or similar housekeeping management systems.
- Sound understanding of room inspections, productivity management, and service delivery in a luxury setting.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and guest interaction skills.
- Professional presentation, a proactive mindset, and commitment to flexibility and teamwork.
