Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Bakery Chef to join our team in 6th of October City, Egypt. As a Bakery Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious baked goods, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety.
- Develop and execute a diverse menu of baked goods, including breads, pastries, and desserts
- Oversee daily bakery operations, including production scheduling and inventory management
- Train and supervise bakery staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards
- Implement and maintain food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with local regulations
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal and specialty items
- Monitor and control food costs while maintaining product quality
- Stay current with baking trends and techniques to innovate and improve offerings
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products
- Participate in menu planning and recipe development
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Culinary degree or diploma in baking and pastry arts
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a professional bakery or restaurant setting
- Proven expertise in various baking techniques and methods
- Strong skills in recipe development and modification
- Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and team management experience
- Creativity and passion for culinary arts, especially baking
- Knowledge of Egyptian and international baking traditions
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
- Valid food safety certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
