This is an exciting new position within Ennismore’s growing portfolio of lifestyle brands, representing the first Morgans Originals hotel in Egypt.

Job Description

The People & Culture Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the hotel’s culture, team experience, and operational success. From the pre-opening phase through day-to-day operations, this role leads all human resources functions with a focus on recruitment, learning and development, employee engagement, and compliance.

As a key member of the leadership team, the People & Culture Manager champions Ennismore’s brand values, ensuring a people-first approach is embedded across every level of the hotel. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building high-performing teams and cultivating a work environment rooted in creativity, inclusivity, and authenticity.

What you’ll do...

Pre-Opening Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to Ennismore’s lifestyle brand and aligned with local labor laws.

  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract and onboard a high-caliber team that embodies the brand's culture and values.

  • Design and deliver onboarding and training programs to immerse new hires in Ennismore’s service philosophy and standards.

  • Establish performance management systems, employee engagement initiatives, and continuous learning frameworks.

  • Collaborate with leadership to define the organizational structure, succession planning, and workforce planning strategies.

  • Inspire and lead the People & Culture team to deliver proactive, high-impact support across all HR functions.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, retention strategies, and talent development to ensure a skilled, engaged workforce.

  • Oversee employee relations, compensation and benefits, payroll, and regulatory compliance with discretion and accuracy.

  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives throughout the hotel.

  • Champion continuous learning by providing ongoing training and professional development opportunities for all levels.

  • Maintain high employee engagement through effective communication and cultural programming.

  • Manage colleague accommodation logistics to ensure comfort, safety, and adherence to company standards.

  • Oversee grooming standards and uniform policies in line with Ennismore’s lifestyle brand image.

  • Collaborate with Facilities to ensure safe, comfortable, and brand-consistent workspaces and common areas.

  • Provide coaching and support to the People & Culture team, aligning efforts with operational goals and team wellbeing.

  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the hotel leadership team.

Brand & Culture Contribution

  • Act as the cultural guardian of the property, ensuring all people practices reflect Ennismore’s creative, inclusive, and people-first ethos.

  • Engage and empower employees to serve as authentic brand ambassadors inside and outside the property.

  • Promote a workplace culture that blends innovation, empathy, and community connection.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for…   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience in the hospitality industry, with pre-opening experience highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop diverse teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Fluent in English and Arabic; additional languages are a plus.

  • Passion for people, culture, and creating meaningful employee experiences.
