The position is based in Accor's flagship Canberra hotel, Novotel Canberra, conveniently based in the city centre opposite the light rail. We are a 286-room hotel with 8 conferencing and event facilities hosting all events from Corporate groups to sports teams.

Novotel Canberra is on the hunt for a reliable and energetic casual Kitchen Attendant to join our culinary team. You'll be the behind-the-scenes hero – keeping things clean, organised, and running smoothly so our chefs can shine. Fast-paced, hands-on, and full of opportunities to learn and grow, this is your chance to be part of a supportive team in a buzzing hotel environment.

Essential:

• A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• High standard of cleanliness and attention to detail

• Ability to follow hygiene, safety, and food handling procedures

• Physically fit – able to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods

• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, hospitality, or cleaning role

• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and basic food prep

• Understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations
