Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Fitness Instructor to join our team at our premier resort in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a Fitness Instructor, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional fitness experiences to our guests, ensuring their well-being and satisfaction throughout their stay.
- Develop and implement personalised exercise programmes for individual guests and groups
- Conduct engaging fitness classes and one-to-one personal training sessions
- Provide fitness consultations and regular follow-ups for guests, monitoring their progress
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of the fitness centre, including audio-visual and gym equipment
- Manage the fitness centre retail area, including stock control, inventory, and sales
- Stay informed about current and future fitness services, as well as local and international trends in health and leisure
- Assist with the management of sports facilities and outdoor/indoor leisure programmes
- Handle guest enquiries and complaints professionally, escalating to supervisors when necessary
- Administer health questionnaires and monitor guests' well-being during their use of gym facilities
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience
- Maintain high standards of safety and hygiene in all fitness areas
Qualifications
- Internationally recognised personal training certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of exercise techniques, fitness equipment, and health and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging, personalised fitness programmes
- Customer-focused approach with a friendly and motivational demeanour
- Proficiency in maintaining audio-visual and gym equipment
- Retail management skills, including stock control and inventory management
- Up-to-date knowledge of fitness trends and best practices
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Physical fitness and stamina to demonstrate exercises and lead classes
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is advantageous
