Job Description
About the Role
The Director of Talent Development at FAENA Red Sea is responsible for leading and managing all learning, development, and training initiatives across the property. This role ensures the design, implementation, and evolution of impactful training strategies that align with FAENA’s operational excellence, brand values, and regulatory compliance standards.
As a key member of the People & Culture leadership team, the Director plays a vital role in nurturing internal talent pipelines, enhancing departmental performance, and embedding a culture of continuous learning and growth throughout the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning & Development Strategy
Lead all general, departmental, and leadership training activities, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
Maintain high-quality, up-to-date training materials, tools, and resources across the hotel.
Conduct Learning Needs Analyses prior to the budgeting cycle to prioritize learning investments effectively.
Collaborate with regional and corporate teams to deliver Basic Leadership and strategic development programs.
Ensure full compliance with all FAENA mandated training policies and requirements.
Training Program Execution
Deliver and coordinate training across all levels, including mandatory compliance modules (e.g., Anti-Bribery, GDPR, Fire Safety, Sustainability).
Develop and mentor departmental trainers to ensure consistency in technical and service skills training.
Oversee the Learning Portal: manage course registrations, monitor progress, and track completions.
Champion a blended learning approach, including e-learning and live facilitation, from internal and external providers.
Measurement & Evaluation
Gather and analyze feedback from training sessions to assess learning effectiveness.
Utilize the Learning Portal to generate data-driven reports and share key insights with leadership.
Continuously adapt training strategies and content based on feedback and business needs.
Talent Development & Performance Management
Support the annual Talent Review process, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
Facilitate the performance cycle: onboarding, probation, goal setting, development planning, and reviews.
Ensure each department maintains trained and active Departmental Trainers to support learning on the job.
Partner with People & Culture to design transparent development pathways for supervisory and leadership roles.
Build and maintain reporting tools to monitor progression and development impact.
Employee Engagement & Communication
Act as a cultural ambassador, embodying FAENA’s values and service excellence in all interactions.
Collaborate with department heads to foster a learning-focused and empowering work environment.
Support internal engagement initiatives with targeted development activities and clear communication.
Qualifications
Proven experience (minimum 5–7 years) in Learning & Development or Talent Development, ideally within the luxury hospitality sector.
Exceptional facilitation and presentation abilities, with a talent for engaging and inspiring team members at all levels.
Strong proficiency in learning platforms and systems, including PeopleHub, as well as performance management tools.
Data-driven approach, with the ability to translate insights and analytics into impactful learning strategies and talent development plans.
Collaborative and culturally aware, with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
Inspiring leadership style, with a proven track record of developing, motivating, and leading high-performing teams.
Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, essential for promoting engagement and delivering a consistent luxury service culture.
Deep understanding of luxury hospitality standards, brand positioning, and guest service excellence.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Sound knowledge of local labor laws, compliance standards, and health and safety regulations, ensuring full operational adherence.
