Job Description

How does your working day look like …

 

  • Assist in reaching the website sales targets and distribution goals, i.e., % contribution of revenue
  • Maintain and develop the hotel website as a source of bookings/revenue.
  • Maintain content accuracy featured on the property’s and 3rd party websites where the hotel distributes inventory.
  • Ensure the website is always correctly positioned and distributed on Brand domains
  • Report and act upon the pre-determined and campaign-based KPIs
  • Establish relationships with corporate and regional offices in digital strategy, revenue management, and marketing.
  • Contribute to the hotel content for the brand website/s as required and according to the given deadlines and policies.
  • Ensure that the hotel & F&B digital platforms are constantly optimized with striking imagery and accurate content. 

Website Content Management & Functionality - MAR

  • Ensures website content is current across all supporting languages & updated according to the CMS corporate & brand guidelines
  • Liaise with the corporate/regional office for any website enhancements.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain a keyword matrix for the hotel and consider it when designing website content
  • Review and maintain rate and room type descriptions in HOD/Synxis (e.g., translations, images, etc.) in coordination with relevant stakeholders
  • Maintains and reports any issues related to web functionalities like API integrations, device responsiveness, load ratio, etc
  • Ensure all content pictures and text matches brand standards
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to consolidate and implement promotional content for special offers and packages

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - REV

  • Measure and report on weekly SERPs performance across different search engines
  • Continuously optimize content (across all languages) - Ensure efficient use of researched keywords and recommends data-driven amends
  • Maintain all photos and digital assets correctly tagged and indexed
  • Review and monitor the content and search engine ranking of competitors’ websites and react appropriately to maintain competitiveness.
  • Update and optimize meta, titles, descriptions, and tags.
  • Ensure a high degree of web crawlability is maintained
  • Liaise with the web agency and corporate office for any website/IBE enhancements.

eMail Marketing & CRM campaigns - MAR

  • Develop and maintain a database of corporate, F&B and hotel newsletter subscribers through both online and offline solicitation in compliance of the GDPR framework
  • Implement a CRM tool to deliver personalized campaigns
  • Helps build a proactive CRM strategy with clearly defined KPIs
  • Prepare and send, with regular frequency, CRMs to all opted-in guests/individuals from the hotel and F&B outlets
  • Oversee data-management of F&B SevenRooms accounts, ensuring integration with hotel CRM system and appropriate use of data, data-capture and retargeting
  • Ensure emailers are in line with the strategy and corporate/brand guidelines & (i.e., Corporate Identity)

Social Media - MAR

  • Collaborate with the social media team, marketing, and revenue management to support decision-making with crucial analytics (including but not limited to Meta, Tiktok, Snapchat)
  • Provide periodic updates on social media strategies on pre-defined KPIs
  • Provide weekly updates on social media strategies on pre-defined

eMarketing Strategy – MAR/REV

  • Develop and implement eMarketing initiatives for the hotel’s key feeder markets to increase the number of qualified visitors to the hotel website, thus increasing revenues and conversion.
  • Identify and develop joint e-commerce initiatives with qualified local, regional, and/or national partners/sites.
  • Establish and implement the hotel’s annual advertising plan for electronic channels and assist with matters related to creative and media planning for PPC.
  • Ensure brand and marketing message on electronic channels is consistent with overall marketing activities, i.e., special promotions/offers, etc.
  • Research and benchmark electronic media adverts and articles to ensure that the hotel remains a market leader and collaborates with PR & Marketing closely.
  • Review and regularly monitor the hotel’s primary competition set and maintain digital performance competitiveness.

Website Analytics – REV

  • Analyze the website user behavior, site performance, source of referrals, etc.; and act accordingly
  • Analyze the website production (bookings) reports available from the website statistical package and/or from the hotel’s Opera property management system or any other such MIS tool.
  • Provide monthly reports on website KPI to the hotel’s management team and the regional and corporate offices.

Support - REV

  • Monitor and assist in ensuring Rate parity with Revenue management across e-distribution channels.
  • Take mandatory corporate training offered and relate this to the respective heads of the department.

Qualifications

  • Degree in marketing, hospitality, or business-related studies is essential
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing/e-commerce with previous experience
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage)
  • Experience in a hotel ecommerce / digital marketing department or similar
  • Strong competence in understanding loyalty and customer recognition
  • Work collaboratively with multiple departments in a high-pressure environment
  • Keeping across developments in the world of digital and e-commerce
  • Strong attention to detail and the production of high-quality work
