At Accor we are currently looking for a two Night Auditors for the new Accor opening, the Mercure Açores Ponta Delgada, in the Azores Islands (Portugal) which will open at the end of September 2024. 

About the position: 

Welcome to a role that allows you to be at the core of hotel operations and open the doors to a fulfilling daily life within an international group! Our Mercure hotel in Ponta Delgada is actively recruiting two Night Auditor,s starting beginning of September. 

The recruitment for this position will be done in person mid-July in Ponta Delgada - we will be sharing more details about the day and location very soon!

Your  missions :  

• Guest Reception and Service: Ensure a personalized and warm welcome for all guests, making their stay as impeccable and unforgettable as possible. 

• Financial Reconciliation: Perform end-of-day financial procedures, including auditing and balancing the hotel's accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. 

• Night Operations Management: Oversee the night shift operations, including handling check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, and addressing guest inquiries. 

• Safety and Security: Monitor the safety and security of the property and its guests, including performing regular checks and reporting any incidents. 

• Reporting: Prepare detailed nightly reports for management, outlining financial data, occupancy rates, and any significant occurrences during the shift.

• Guest Assistance: Provide information about the hotel, its amenities, and local attractions, and respond to any guest complaints or requests in a timely manner. 

• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent guest experiences. 

Key responsibilities :  

• Perform all check-in and check-out tasks 

• Manage online and phone reservations 

• Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms 

• Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities 

• Respond to clients’ complaints 

• Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully furnished to accommodate guests’ needs 

• Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, e.g., wedding guests, christenings 

• Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate 

• Maintain updated records of bookings and payments 

• Ensure the safety of property and people during the night shift 

• Handle hotel closing procedures, cash collection, and anticipate the needs of the next day

About you: 

• Detail-oriented and responsible: You ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and provide a seamless experience for guests during night hours. 

• Strong team spirit and interpersonal skills: You communicate effectively with other departments and provide assistance where needed. 

• Bilingual skills: Very fluent in Portuguese and English; knowledge of a third language is a plus.
