We are seeking a meticulous and service-oriented Housekeeping Porter to join our exceptional housekeeping team at Sofitel London St James. As a Housekeeping Porter, you will be pivotal in maintaining our exacting standards of cleanliness and ensuring our guests' satisfaction. Your attention to detail will contribute significantly to the creation of lasting memories for our esteemed guests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support Housekeeping Team: Collaborate closely with our housekeeping team to uphold the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

2. Guest Service: Deliver requested items to guest rooms promptly, including towels, toiletries, and additional bedding, while providing exemplary service.

3. Linen Management: Collect and transport soiled linens and towels to the laundry area, ensuring the efficient distribution of clean linens.

4. Waste Management: Maintain cleanliness by emptying waste receptacles in guest rooms and public areas, replacing liners as required.

5. Maintenance Assistance: Contribute to the overall guest experience by identifying and reporting maintenance or repair issues in guest rooms and public areas.

6. Lost and Found: Assist in identifying and storing lost and found items, adhering to our hotel's policies and procedures.

7. Inventory Management: Ensure the proper stocking of cleaning supplies and guest amenities on well-organized housekeeping carts.

8. Safety and Security: Abide by all safety and security policies and procedures to provide a secure environment for both guests and colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Housekeeping Porter/Linen Porter in a 5-star hotel or luxury hospitality environment is highly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks associated with the role.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemicals is a plus.
• Fluent in English, any other language is a plus.
