• Embody the art of French hospitality through a “can do” attitude.
• Assist the Chief and Assistant Chief Engineer in the day-to-day operation of the maintenance requirements of the hotel as a team leader.
• Supervising maintenance and repairs both planned and ad hoc for the hotel.
• Liaising with other departments in matters dealing with environment control, fire and safety.
• Keeping up to date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Completing daily rounds sign off any relevant section of the Maintenance Manuals.

• Good knowledge of engineering and maintenance systems, including responsibility for HVAC, chillers and boilers, refrigeration, lighting, pool testing and filtration, general electrical and plumbing, painting.
• Knowledge and understanding of ISO 14001 or relevant EMS standards. 
• The aptitude and willingness to undertake further development with Sofitel.
