Banquet Cashier (On-Call)
This position is for a passionate individual with excellent communication skills and a strong desire to offer the best Banquet experience while engaging with our guests.

What you will be doing:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Provide service to guests attending functions.
• Perform cashiering functions, and selling tickets
• May assist the Banquets team with other duties as required
• Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Work alone or as part of a team to cater to the needs of our group attendees.
• Follow policies, cash handling procedures, safety protocols, and service standards
• Carry out any other tasks as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate
• Previous experience as cashier an asset
• Knoweldge of events and banquet functions an asset
• Food handler & TABC certifications required
• Of legal age to assist in serving alcohol if needed
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Full professional working proficiency in spoken English required, both verbal and non-verbal
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, and without supervision
• Ability to multi task and work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to:

• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
• Reach 1-2 feet
• Remain in stationary position for up to 8 hours throughout work shift
• Work includes sitting and also standing, and walking
• Exert physical effort in carrying items (up to 20 pounds)
• Frequent lifting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
