The Tribe Tech Lead role is the primary engineering responsible for ensuring that we deliver value to the business.

You work collaboratively with your Tribe Lead peer to define the tribe’s vision and strategy and align the right talents to deliver the desired results and positive change to the business.

You are a leader who is passionate about delivering differentiated value and business-oriented technology.

You will provide leadership to 5 dedicated Feature Teams (~40 FTE) composed of Tech Leads, Developers, QA, Solution Architects (employees and contractors).

Success will require in-depth understanding of the Digital & Business Factory strategy and ability to manage relationships with Product leaders and Stakeholders from various departments within the business or IT.

You bring to this role strong technical acumen, outstanding leadership and collaboration skills, and a data driven, fact-based approach to decision making.

You are skilled at setting strategic direction informed by knowledge of Accor’s digital ecosystem, interactions with other Tribe Tech Leads and assessments of data.

This role will report to the Domain Leaders and will provide input to the long-term strategy and vision of Software Development.

Your mission :

Collaboratively with the Tribe Lead, you will define the roadmap, drive successful delivery of Tribe OKRs and manage the Tribe capacity and budget. You will ensure to optimize the delivery of the new new-generation APIs, the connectivity to the new CRS and enable new consumers :

  • Accountable for high level of performance and quality of the product delivery.
  • Define and fosters engineering standards (security, architecture, quality, performance…) and improves engineering excellence in alignment with peers.
  • Assesses the current and long-term technical & personnel needs in the area of software development for the systems and champion a roadmap of continuous product development and system improvements.
  • Communicate proactively to encourage teamwork and cooperation between cross-functional teams and mediate conflicts when necessary.
  • Responsibility for operational costs budget​.
  • Acting as servant leader to quickly help FT problem solve and remove obstacles and link connections with other FTs where appropriate.
  • Engaging regularly with FT leaders on FT output and providing the right level of feedback to enable FT alignment and autonomy.

Qualifications

And you ? 

  • Extensive knowledge of API and micro-services development, cloud environment.
  • Mastery of software development lifecycle and strong experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Proactive and passionate about resolving pain points through great design.
  • Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines.
  • Dedication and willingness towards continuous improvement and learning new skills and capabilities.
  • Empowering the team to build better products.
  • Strong influencing and team first skills to align across organizations.
  • Dedication to DF’s agile and digital working style through tight-knit collaboration and breaking down of silos.
  • Fluent in both French & English (written & spoken).
