(6-month Contractor) Assistant Product Channel Merchandiser

Job Description 

This job is located at our APAC Home Office in Shanghai, China.  

The main responsibility for this role is to execute strategies that amplify the biggest product opportunities across every customer touchpoint, tying together product pricing & experience. This will include extensive coordination across the product, inventory, marketing, and channel teams to create streamlined execution of the APAC business strategy and growth plan. You will manage the team’s commercial planning calendars including product features and promotions, marketing actions, site preparation/site promotions, and event coordination, all while working with the inventory management teams to ensure alignment to the execution tacticts. In addition, you and your team will also serve as contact window for product knowledge and update sharing for regional distributors/wholesalers by closely working with New Business Development team.

 

What Will You Be Doing? 

 

  • Assist the Go-to-Market Process: Execute seasonal strategies that tie together product, pricing, and marketing, while driving white space ideas for UX and digital product strategies.
  • Campaign and Event Coordination: Act as key business liaison between Product, Marketing, & ecommerce teams to ensure holistic GTM approach for marketing campaigns and key online events. See campaigns through from start to finish. Starting with strategy, photoshoot selections, styling, and final edits.
  • Site Visual Merchandising Coordination: Liaison with site merchandising to aid in analysis of site metrics and streamline partnership with product teams to ensure site issues, callouts, KPIs are funneled through efficiently.
  • Project Management: Manage key projects from a digital x-platform & x-functional view aligning with all relevant stakeholders to ensure program efficiency and drive end-to-end efficacy.

 

What Do You Need To Bring? 

 

  • 2-3 years progressive experience in product/merchandising, marketing and/or sales ideally in a global footwear/apparel business.
  • A well-rounded team player with strong collaboration to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; can confidently articulate a point of view, but also explain the risk and opportunities.
  • Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Fluent in English
