Marketing Procurement Assistant/Associate Specialist

The Marketing Procurement Specialist at Abercrombie & Fitch oversees global marketing purchases, focusing on printing processes for advertising and in-store promotional materials. Serving as the primary contact for marketing inquiries, this role ensures all promotional items are delivered on time, within budget, and up to quality standards. The specialist also coordinates marketing communications across global branches, requiring a proactive, adaptable self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and suppliers.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

 

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Partnership Building: 
    • Build and nurture cross-functional partnerships with marketing areas to understand requirements, including category, supplier base, and market trends. 
    • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and other business partners impacted by sourcing decisions. 
  • Supplier Management: 
    • Drive the supplier selection process through RFI and RFP, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements. 
    • Keep up with market trends to maintain a capable vendor base. 
  • Budgeting and Financial Coordination: 
    • Partner with the Marketing strategy team to establish and monitor monthly budgeting processes. 
    • Enter and monitor all related Purchase Orders and Invoicing. 
    • Reconcile actuals in partnership with Finance. 
  • Quality and Inventory Management: 
    • Ensure all materials are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. 
    • Manage inventory and store reorders through the ISM (in-store marketing) system. 
    • Monitor new store openings to ensure appropriate inventory levels. 
    • Attend press checks as needed. 
  • Contract Management: 
    • Execute favorable contracts for A&F. 
    • Administer 3rd party contracts, including setup and maintenance of vendor profiles and organization of contracts and related documentation.

 

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years’ experience in print production procurement or a similar position preferred. 
  • High attention to detail and meticulous follow-through with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs. 
  • Project management experience is a plus. 
  • Proactive, collaborative approach to work with strong partnership-building skills. 
  • Self-motivated, creative thinker with problem-solving resiliency. 
  • Ability to execute tasks and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively. 
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Peoplesoft, iValua, and DocuSign is a plus.
