Procurement manages all indirect procurement sourcing activities for Abercrombie & Fitch. The Procurement Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are to support category management of all administrative activities for Corporate Services and IT procurement teams. This role works closely with and in support of the following teams: Category Managers, Procurement Systems, Accounts Payable, Finance, Legal and Suppliers. We are looking for a naturally-curious self-starter with strong critical thinking skills who successfully demonstrates flexibility and agility in a fast-paced and dynamic, digitally-led environment. A person in this role must also be a relationship builder and be able to team up with others, as there are high levels of coordination required between business partners, stakeholders, and key strategic suppliers.
This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Build and engage in direct communications with internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers
- Support the supplier onboarding and intake process including:
- Third party risk reviews
- Vendor profile set-up
- Help to maintain supplier information on an ongoing basis
- Perform contract administration and records management
- Maintain dashboards and category reporting
- Assist teams with purchase orders, invoice discrepancies and exceptions, and payment issues
- Resolve supplier questions and system access issues
- Drive Business Unit adherence to vendor lifecycle processes
- Act as Procurement Systems super user assisting internal team and business stakeholders
- Stay curious to improve existing processes and bring suggested plans to provide efficiency
What Do You Need To Bring?
- Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
- Preferred 1-3 years in an office environment
- Proficient skills in the Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with the following tools a plus:
- Peoplesoft or other Financial ERP system
- IValua or other source to pay system
- Docusign or other eSignature system
- Process Unity or other risk management system
- Concur or other travel expense management system
- Ability to work both independently and with cross-functional teams
- Superior customer service delivery, communicates in a highly effective, yet approachable manner; able to communicate with all levels of the business across the organization and the globe
- Ability to execute tasks and meet critical deadlines in a thorough, poised, accurate, and prompt manner, while managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced and often-changing environment
- High level of attention to detail and meticulous follow-through, coupled with the flexibility to shift requirements and expectations, due to ever-changing needs of the business
- A collaborative approach to work; builds strong partnerships with business partners
- Self-motivated, self-starting, and creative thinker; shows resiliency in problem-solving.
- Ability to follow proper protocols to work with protected vendor data and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced, structured environment
- Prior exposure to the management of procurement process is a plus
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong written, listening, and verbal communication skills
- Desire to learn and hunger for more
