The First Step @ AbbVie Program is designed for recent graduates who are ready to take their first steps into the professional world while contributing to a company dedicated to improving patients' lives.

Over 12 months, you will gain exposure to different areas of Finance, including Record-to-Report, Tax and Controllership, while developing analytical, digital and business capabilities in a dynamic multinational environment.

You will learn how Finance supports business decisions, compliance, operational excellence and sustainable growth, working alongside experienced professionals and collaborating with local and global teams.

What you will learn and experience

Throughout the program, you will:

• Gain practical exposure to core Finance processes and systems
• Develop understanding of financial reporting, compliance and governance
• Learn how financial information supports business decisions
• Work with digital tools, reporting solutions and process automation
• Participate in projects focused on simplification and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with colleagues from different functions and countries
• Strengthen communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Build a strong foundation for future career opportunities within AbbVie

What you will contribute to

With the support of your manager and colleagues, you will:

• Support monthly closing activities and financial reconciliations
• Contribute to tax documentation and compliance activities
• Assist with internal control and compliance processes
• Support the preparation of reports, dashboards and presentations
• Participate in process improvement and digitalization initiatives
• Contribute to cross-functional projects and learning activities
• Explore responsible applications of automation and Artificial Intelligence in Finance

Who we are looking for

• Recent degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management or a related field
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Fluency in English
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools

Nice to have

• Exposure to Power BI, ERP systems or data analysis tools
• Interest in Digital Finance, Automation and Artificial Intelligence
• Interest in working in an international and multicultural environment
