Job Description
The Manager, Omnichannel Campaign Management, is a critical execution-focused role within AbbVie's Marketing Communications team, responsible for managing the end-to-end implementation planning of brand omnichannel campaigns. This role partners with multiple internal marketing teams and agency partners to ensure seamless campaign execution, on-time delivery, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings strong project management expertise, cross-functional coordination skills, and a passion for operational excellence in pharmaceutical marketing.
Responsibilities:
Campaign Execution & Risk Management
- Manage Digital Lab execution of assigned brand omnichannel campaigns, ensuring seamless implementation, timely delivery, and risk mitigation
- Develop and maintain detailed implementation plans, roadmaps, and timelines for assigned campaigns across Digital Lab channels
- Drive day-to-day campaign progress, monitoring dependencies, proactively resolving roadblocks, and managing risks
- Identify changes in scope, risks, and issues, escalating or implementing corrective actions as needed
- Coordinate with cross-functional Digital Lab teams, Business Technology Services (BTS), APEX (where appropriate), and digital agency partners to ensure execution excellence
- Utilize Smartsheets and other project management tools to track campaign status, milestones, and deliverables
Campaign Process Support & Standardization
- Support evaluation of campaign implementation effectiveness to identify efficiency improvements and lessons learned
- Contribute to process standardization by following established playbooks, implementation guides, and RACI models
- Champion automation efficiency initiatives and adopt AI tools and advanced project management platforms
- Partner with Marketing Operations on project management technology usage and optimization
- Document campaign processes, learnings, and best practices for continuous improvement
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with Omnichannel Experience Leads to ensure implementation aligns with brand campaign needs and strategic direction
- Communicate campaign execution updates effectively, providing regular progress reports, risk assessments, and key learnings
- Partner with DMS channel teams to gather timelines, understand channel-specific requirements, and build comprehensive implementation plans
- Connect Omnichannel Experience teams and Lab Capability teams for channel-specific questions on costs, timelines, and data requirements
- Maintain effective working relationships with A3 creative agency and Marketing Operations to ensure alignment on deliverables and review processes
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in campaign management, project management, or marketing operations, preferably within pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated industries
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Smartsheet, Adobe Workfront, Asana, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels including email, web, social, and display advertising
- Experience working in matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build effective working relationships
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing
- Knowledge of medical/legal review processes for promotional materials
- Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms
- Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies
- Exposure to AI-driven project management tools
- Understanding of creative agency processes and workflows
