Job Description
The Associate Director, Finance provides financial leadership and decision support for Lake County frontline operations within OneHUB, AbbVie's centralized in-house customer service hub supporting six global business functions. Reporting to the OneHUB Finance Head, this role is responsible for financial planning, performance management, and operational finance governance across OneHUB's Lake County frontline service delivery teams and supports engagement with business stakeholders across Operations, R&D, and Commercial.
This position executes financial planning and analysis and management reporting responsibilities unique to OneHUB's operating model, partnering with Lake County frontline pillar leaders to drive financial performance, ensure cost-to-serve transparency, and support delivery of OneHUB's multi-year value commitments.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and analysis for OneHUB Lake County frontline operations, including Plan, Update, LBE, LRP, forecasting, and monthly close. Ensure accurate financial records, reporting integrity, profit planning, and actionable variance analysis across the frontline cost base.
- Serve as the strategic finance partner to Lake County frontline operational leaders across patient access, product support, and distribution-focused teams.
- Implement and manage IDV funding structures and service agreement financial terms for frontline pillars, ensuring cost-to-serve transparency and accurate cost allocation for each of the six supported business functions.
- Responsible for Lake County frontline pillar financial operations across domestic and international service operations including internal controls, financial compliance, policy adherence, and regulatory alignment.
- Prepare and deliver management reporting packages to Lake County frontline pillar leaders, including P&L, headcount, and capital views with clear commentary on Actuals vs. Plan/LBE and key cost drivers.
- Drive financial performance management across Lake County frontline operations, providing insight into workforce economics, volume variability, capacity planning, and hub-level cost drivers to inform operational decisions.
- Partner with Procurement and Vendor Management on financial oversight of vendor consolidation, offshore and captive expansion, and RFP financial modeling to support cost optimization objectives.
- Track realization of financial commitments attributable to frontline pillars, including steady-state savings and multi-year value targets. Support business case governance for geo strategy, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Provide financial evaluation and decision support for new program launches and service expansions for OneHUB's frontline operating model.
- Coach and develop finance staff supporting Lake County frontline operations, building analytical capability, and fostering a high-performance culture grounded in transparency, rigor, and partnership.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required; Master's degree or equivalent experience highly desirable; CPA or equivalent experience preferred
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience in operations finance, accounting, financial planning, analysis, and internal control management
- Three or more years of supervisory experience preferred
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to summarize complex analyses clearly and concisely for senior management
- Experience supporting international service operations preferred
- Ability to work well in a team environment, develop staff and build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong communication and presentation skills required
- Candidate must be highly proficient working with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and SAP
