Manage the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) system by ensuring adherence to the standards and requirements established by the company. This includes actively contributing to the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of EHS policies, fostering a culture of compliance, and promoting best practices across all organizational levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement, maintain, and improve EH&S programs aligned with AbbVie's global standards.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation in Costa Rica and corporate policies.
• Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and internal audits.
• Lead incident investigations and develop corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage and supervise the ergonomics program, ensuring effective evaluation, interventions, and improvements in workstations.
• Lead on-site teams such as: Emergency response team, Safety committee and Green Team.
• Coordinate and facilitate training in safety, occupational health, and emergency response.
• Develop and execute emergencies, evacuation, and business continuity plans.
• Monitor and report EH&S performance indicators (KPIs) at the local and regional levels.
• Act as a liaison with regulatory entities during inspections or audits.
• Promote a culture of safety through awareness initiatives and visible leadership.
• Develop EHS activities and campaigns focused in increasing the culture at the site.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• Advanced English level (spoken and written).
• Minimum of 5 years of EH&S experience.
• Experience implementing EH&S management systems.
• Experience in corporate or service environments.
• Desirable: Experience in call center environments.
• Initiative & Self-Management.
• Problem-Solving.
• Technical Expertise.
• Adaptability.
• Desirable: Professional certifications (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or others).
• Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations in Costa Rica.
