Job Description

This position reports to the Director, Entity and Financial Planning & Analysis and supports key workstreams associated with AbbVie’s Quarterly Earnings Calls, Board of Directors (BOD) & Executive Leadership Team (ELT) packages, Cash Conversion Cycle (CCC) Metrics, and Entity Plan. This role liaises with multiple cross-functional stakeholders within Finance and has opportunities to interact with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership through the CFO.  

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of the quarterly earnings package used by AbbVie Executives / Investor Relations during earnings calls
  • Assist with producing key analytics for BOD, ELT, Leadership Forum & other management packages
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations to produce analytics that inform LBEs, Quarterly Flash, LRP, Plan and BOD package publications
  • Support Associate Director, Entity Planning with entity forecast consolidation and modeling for Plan / LBE / LRP, including Intercompany Reconciliations, Deferred Margin analysis and Performance vs Entity reconciliation
  • Compile a comprehensive monthly Executive Goal Grading Reporting Package
  • Liaison with Procurement to compile a quarterly Consulting spend analysis
  • Support Director, Entity and Financial Planning & Analysis in driving high visibility special project(s)
  • Assignment Manager for the FDP CFP&A rotation
  • Ad-hoc analysis (e.g. P&L profiles, Growth Metrics, R&D Analytics, peer comparison) as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, required. CPA or MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably across a range of Finance functions.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Superior communication skills: ability to summarize complex financial analyses in a clear & concise manner.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while balancing competing priorities.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, required.
  • Experience with BPC, Power BI, W-Desk a plus
